Issues

Over the years, the Old University Neighbourhood has been involved in many relevant issues - some proactive, some reactive. In recent memory, these have fallen under four general categories, as follows:

Municipal Policy - Rental housing, absentee landlords, lodging house regulation, property standards and safety issues
Planning Issues - Infill and Intensification, urban design, compatibility, severances, committee of adjustment and rezoning issues
Community Development - quality of life, community projects, social interaction and neighbourhood spirit building
Environment - tree conservation, property standards, traffic calming, parks and trails
